Accessibility Statement

We want everyone to be able to use our website, whatever their ability. Accessibility is part of who we are, not an afterthought.

Last updated: June 2026

Our commitment

We are committed to making this website accessible to as many people as possible. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, so that people using assistive technology can navigate and understand our content.

What we do

Accessibility shapes how we build and write the site. The measures we take include:

  • Writing in plain English so content is easy to follow.
  • Adding descriptive alt text to images.
  • Supporting full keyboard navigation.
  • Maintaining strong colour contrast for low-vision users.
  • Clearly labelling form fields and error messages.
  • Testing with assistive technologies such as screen readers.

Known limitations

We are honest about where we are still improving. Some older content and a few third-party tools embedded in the site may not yet fully meet WCAG 2.1 AA. We are working to address these, and we welcome you telling us where we fall short.

Technical details

This website relies on HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript and WAI-ARIA. These technologies are used to support accessibility and compatibility with current assistive tools.

Tell us how we are doing

If you have trouble using any part of this site, please let us know. Email care@crescentcare.org.au, call 1300 95 25 95, or write to Level 1/244 Macquarie Street, Liverpool NSW 2170. We aim to respond within five business days.

Formal complaints

If you are not satisfied with how we respond to an accessibility concern, you can contact the Australian Human Rights Commission, which handles complaints about disability discrimination.
